Man gets 10 yrs for stabbing prostitute

A LOCAL farmer was recently sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment by Minhang District Court for stabbing a prostitute. Zou Jinlong, 45, from Songjiang District, first had sex with prostitute Chen Shuiying, a woman in her 30s from Yingshang County in East China's Anhui Province, last Novem-ber for which he paid 150 yuan ($18). Zou encountered the woman a second time in December last year. He told police he decided to have sex with her when he was unable to find any friends to play mahjong with. When Zou tried to have sex with Chen a third time at four in the early morning, Chen refused to co-operate because she had not yet been paid. Zou then drew a knife from his pocket, causing Chen to scream. He sank the knife into her breast and stomach. Then he snatched his clothes and fled. Chen was seriously wounded, but her life was saved.
