Over 100 British and Irish universities will take part in two separate education exhibitions to be held on Saturday and Sunday at Shanghai Int'l Convention Centre. Seminars will be held on their respective education systems, admission applications and visa information.

Opera songs

A performance of selected classical songs from famous Western operas will be held tonight at the Old China Hand Reading Room, featuring local opera singers Liao Changyong and Guo Sen. The show will also be live on the web www.ShanghaiPress.com.

Culture seminars

The China International Intelligence Company is offering a series of lectures on traditional Chinese culture including lectures on Beijing opera on March 14 (1:30pm-3:30pm), tea culture on March 28 (1:30pm-3:00pm), Shanghai religious architecture on April 11 (1:30pm-3:30pm) and Chinese embroidery art on April 25 (1:30pm-3:30pm). Montrose wine
