Solaris8 system SUN Microsystems Co, one of the largest suppliers of IT infrastructures in the global market, launched its latest server-based Solaris8 operating system on the Chinese market last week. Chinese customers, both enterprises and individual users, will all be granted free access to the operating system after registration. Samsung strategy SAMSUNG, one of the world's major electronic display manufacturers, is expanding in the local market as part of its global strategy. Samsung now exports 50,000 newly-developed flat screen TVs a year from South Korea to China. Samsung will invest $1.73 billion in developing new products this year to compete with its rivals. High-speed DSP core US-BASED Texas Instruments Co (TI), the inventor of the integrated circuit, made two of its latest products - TMS32064X and TMS32055x digital signal processor (DSP) cores - available to the global market.
