THE Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Centre near People's Square will receive the public in a trial opening today.

Violinist and conductor in limelight
LIN Chaoyang, first violin of the popular "Beijing Quartet" and Zhang Xiaoxue, a Chinese conductor living in Germany, will team up with the Shanghai Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra in a performance programme on March 4 at Shanghai Concert Hall.

Montrose wine club

Culture seminars

The China International Intelligence Company is offering a series of lectures on traditional Chinese culture including lectures on Beijing opera on March 14 (1:30pm-3:30pm), tea culture on March 28 (1:30pm-3:00pm) and Shanghai religious architecture on April 11 (1:30pm-3:30pm) and Chinese embroidery art on April 25 (1:30pm-3:30pm).
