COFFEE Bean & Tea Leaf, whose fans include Britney Spears, Cindy Crawford, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt, has opened a store at 666 Fuzhou Lu, near People’s Square.

Its main difference from other coffee shops is the roast of the coffee. Theirs is a lighter roast and the taste difference is substantial.

With toast, the more you brown it, the less you taste the bread. Coffee is just the same, and younger people tend to prefer lighter roasts.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf sells coffee drinks which, they say, match five different personality types: the trendy macho man; the fashionable woman;the sexy, feminine woman; the businessman; and the sports fan.
