Chen Shuxia
Chen has had her paintings exhibited worldwide. Two main themes interest her still life and the human figure. But a closer, second look reveals that these two themes are not so different after all. Chen's paintings are neither realistic depictions of objects or persons, nor pure abstract compositions. In varying degrees of realism and abstraction instead they hover between the two poles.

Bicycle show
An international bicycle exhibition sponsored by the China Bicycle Association opened on April 14, displaying various products presented by about 900 firms at home and abroad, including Italy's Colnago, Japan's Shimano and France's Zefal.
