  • Bird flu outbreak reaches mainland
    HEALTH authorities in the southern region of South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have reported that an outbreak of bird flu had killed ducks on a farm in Dingdang town, the first case of the disease to be reported on the Chinese mainland. There were no reports of the disease spreading to local residents.
