Elvis impersonator Shezad Eikmeier, otherwise known as "Shelvis", celebrates after setting a new world record for the longest solo singing marathon at a private local radio station in Hamburg. Eikmeier sang about 800 songs by US rock legend Elvis Presley in 40 hours 8 minutes 2 seconds and broke the Guinness World Record for "Longest Solo Singing" last Thursday, the date of Elvis' 69th birthday.
- New inquiry into Diana's death
Britain's Princess Diana, pictured here in 1995, is the subject of a top-level police investigation into her death in a 1997 Paris car crash. Diana, who died alongside her escort Dodi Al Fayed, was quoted in a British tabloid newspaper as naming her former husband, Prince Charles, as the person she suspected of plotting to kill her. Separate inquests into the couple's deaths were opened in London last week and adjourned until 2005.
