AIR France has inaugurated its new Paris-Guangzhou route. The new service will operate with the Airbus A340-300 five times weekly, on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Starting on June 14, Air France will be offering daily service to Guangzhou. "Air France has been a frontrunner in China for a long time," said Air France chairman Jean-Cyril Spinetta. "It was the first Western airline to operate services to the People's Republic of China, with the Paris-Shanghai route in 1966 and the Paris-Beijing route in 1973. He said that "Air France is offering customers direct access to one of China's most affluent regions, with a particularly promising future." Janet Chen |
