(By Sunny Hu) Blossoming into health PEACH blossoms, now in bloom, have many healthcare benefits. The most simple method is to make tea from dried peach blossoms which is good for treating constipation and for stimulating the blood flow. Peach flowers are also used in cooling dishes and fish soups, which not only create a better look for the dishes, but also add nutrition. The blossoms, together with some honey, white sugar and rice, can be made into a tasty porridge. Add 50 grams of fresh peach flowers to 500 grams of honey. Both the porridge and the honey have almost magical effects on the urine, blood flow and for constipation. But their dosage should be limited. Ancient Chinese women made the fresh flowers into a paste to put on the face, which is very good for skin care due to its rich essential oils. Sunny Hu |
