Charlie's Angels

Charlie's angels are three young and beautiful private detectives named Natalie, Dallen and Alice, who secretly prevent a software from being abused by some terrorists.

 

 

The Accidental Spy

Jackie Chan's latest action movie in celebration of the Chinese Lunar Year follows the misadventures of Bei, a salesman at an athletic equipment store. He becomes involved in a plot that takes him to South Korea and Turkey. Along the way he comes to realize that he might be the long lost son of a rich South Korean businessman. The film premiers in Shanghai today.

In the Mood for Love

The latest work by Wong Kar-wai, stars Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung. Although it follows a love story, there are almost no love scenes in the movies. Unique camera shots add a special flavour to the movie as do Maggie's more than 30 qipaos. As the film tells the story of Shanghaiese in Hong Kong during the '60s, people associate the beautiful qipaos with Shanghai.

The Long Kiss Goodnight

Samantha Caine is a housewife living a normal, unexciting life in the suburbs until one day she receives a bump on the head and begins to remember pieces of her past life as a lethal, top-secret agent.

Chicken Run

The story happens in the 1950s England. In a chicken house, several chickens are scheming a flight from the fate of being butchered. The leader of the special event is a proud rooster from America who falls into their midst and also falls in love with one of the hens. He is inept but sincere in his efforts to teach them to fly over the wall of their prison. The film will be screened on February 1.

The Treatment

It is a compelling tale of a young Chinese couple who have immigrated to the United States from Beijing seeking all of the benefits of the American Dream they have heard so much about. They settle in middle America, have a son, and begin to build their dream. But on the way they are wrongfully accused of child abuse and find themselves caught up in a legal system they do not understand. Directed by Zheng Xiaolong, the movie has Tony Leung, Jiang Wenli, Zhu Xu and Dennis Zhu as its main cast.
