elected vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the
People's Republic of China:
Male, born in 1942, of Han nationality, a native of Liquan, Shaanxi
Province.
Joined in Communist Party of China (CPC) in March 1963; started
to work in 1958, joined the People's Liberation Army (PLA) in 1961;
graduated from the PLA Military Academy; holds the military rank
of general.
Worker of the No. 408 Factory of Xingping County, Shaanxi Province,
in 1958-1961.
Soldier, deputy squad leader and squad leader of the Eighth Company
of the 164th Regiment of the 55th Division of the 19th Army of the
PLA Ground Force in 1961-1964; platoon commander of the Eighth Company
of 164th Regiment of the 55th Division of the 19th Army of the PLA
Ground Force in 1964-1965; staff member of the Propaganda Group
of the Political Section of the 164th Regiment of the 55th Division
