The following is the biographical sketch of He Luli, who was just
elected vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National
People's Congress (NPC):
Female, born in 1934, of Han nationality, native of Heze, Shandong
Province.
Member of Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang ( RCCK),
began working in 1957, graduated from Department of Medicine of
Beijing Medical College, assistant physician-in-charge.
Student at Department of Medicine of Beijing Medical College in
1952-1957; resident physician with Beijing Children's Hospital and
Beijing Xicheng District Children's Hospital, and assistant physician-in-charge
with Beijing No. 2 Hospital in 1957-1984; deputy head of Xicheng
District, Beijing, in 1984-1988; vice-mayor of Beijing, vice-chairwoman
of RCCK National Committee, chairwoman of RCCK Beijing Municipal
Committee, vice-president of All-China Women's Federation in 1988-1996.
Vice-chairwoman of National Committee of Chinese People's Political
Consultative Conference (CPPCC), vice-chairwoman of RCCK National
Committee, chairwoman of RCCK Beijing Municipal Committee, vice-chairwoman
of All-China Women's Federation in 1996-1998; vice- chairwoman of
NPC Standing Committee, chairwoman of RCCK National Committee and
president of Central Socialism Academy since 1998.
Standing Committee member of 7th and 8th CPPCC National Committee.
Augmented as vice-chairwoman at fourth session of 8th CPPCC National
Committee.
Vice-chairwoman of 9th NPC Standing Committee.
