Introduction of Improved South Devon Cattle

This project is a cooperative poverty reduction project between CFPA and Australian Biologic Gene Ltd. Co. in 1998. The objective of the project is to improve production performance of China ox by crossbreeding the South Devon Cattle with China north ox.

Juncao Poverty Reduction Project

The Juncao technology is developed by Mr. Lin Zhanxi of Fujian Agricultural University and acquired state patent. The character of the technology is to culture edible Juncao, medical Juncao with weed, seaweed and crop straws to replace timber. This project has the advantages of small investment, quick return, high economic and ecological benefit. It could efficiently help the poor people in mountainous areas to get rid of poverty.

CFPA joined Professor Lin to organize technical extension and training program after he contributed this patent to CFPA. At present, CFPA held more than 50 training courses for over 4800 technicians and 35500 farmers in 328 counties.
