China and Japan in Beijing Monday signed a government document for a poverty relief program in Tian Hu, a poverty stricken area in southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

According to the document signed by China's Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Long Yongtu and the Japanese Ambassador to China Koreshige Anami, Japan will donate equipment worth 670 million Japanese yen to assist with the supply of water and electricity to the target poor area.
