The "kid" has a name,LIN HAO, bigger than any so called star player. This is whats it all about, trying to save his classmates that earthquake day. He is the star that shines in everyones eyes and heart. What a great day for China, but most of all, thanks to Yao Ming for giving master Hao a good view to remember forever.

Such great choreography and vibrant colours on show...the organisation committee has done China proud...I'm now awaiting to see what greatness will come out from China over the next 2 weeks!

All along, I've known that the western press take a very slanted and negative view of China, giving their readers an anti-Chinese view and harboring a deep-seated wish that misfortune would befall China. They just cannot see China succeed. They have been wrong in their predictions for over ten years about Hong Kong, and now they will be disappointed again. Are they afraid to let the world know that the Chinese system works for them?

Congratulations to all those involved in the Games opening. It was obvious that a great deal of effort had been made by many people
to ensure it would be an opening to remember. And it was! From a far away Australian family - thank you China, for a night of classy entertainment. May your games be the best yet!

What a lucky day! As soon as the opening ceremony was ended, a rain came in Beijing.
